The café’s interior is decorated like Korean traditional houses and palaces. So, you can take pictures whenever you want! You’d better make reservations before visit!

3. Palace Cafe

The next unique themed cafe is located in Hongdae. This wonderful palace themed cafe that called “Where a Princess Should Live”. The cafe has royal tables  and mostly meant for couples. But groups of females often visit here as well. This unique themed cafe filled with antiques and velvety furniture that make feel like a royal! It has very low lighting and always playing soft music so you will feel the real romantic atmosphere at once. This large cafe is divided into both smoking and non-smoking rooms. Although the menu are a bit expensive (e.g. lattes 8,000 Won and cocktails 9,000 Won) but aesthetically pleasing and really a good place to explore like take selcas.

4. Kakao Talk Cafe


Are you Kakao Talk user? Here is a unique themed cafe solely dedicated to all KakaoTalk lover out there! But if you are not, don’t worry! You can still find out super cute emoticon characters. Cafe TALK or Kakao Talk Cafe is the only cafe that sells official Kakao items. There is a huge Ryan character beside the main door. Brightly yellow colored theme with your favorite kakao emotion soft toys and wall decorations. Undoubtedly has a cheery cafe vibe that actually a pretty cute date spot and to take tons of photos! The drinks and cakes are so adorable and so delicious with reasonable price.

5. Hello Kitty Cafe


If you are Hello Kitty Cafe lover, you must have this Hello Kitty Cafe in your Korea Tour itineary! This unique themed cafe’s stairs, entrance, furniture, ceiling, decorations are pink! All of the menu are decorated by Hello Kitty cute face. There is also a small section dedicated to Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel merchandise! You can buy Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel in Hanbok as unique and will be cutest souvenir ever!

6. May Island Cafe

Since this place is a study cafe, so it is completely silent and recommended place for student who need a quiet and comfortable place to study. But the decoration is so unique with funky airplane-inspired seats along the left wall! There is a rule that one drink you buy, you can get 5 hours of cafe time. Keep the receipt and you can get 50% discount on your next order. Even there are also group study rooms which you can rent out per hour. You will feel like a hard worker in a room with a bunch of other people who are all doing work.

7. Hoho Myoll Cafe

The last unique themed cafe is Holo Myoll Cafe. This cafe is a whimsical, cute, and cozy cafe in Hongdae that set against a vintage theme with 60’s and 70’s nostalgic items. Once entering the cafe you’ll see a decorated retro Volkswagen van that doubles up as seat in the cafe. Apparently, HoHo Myoll is a name derived from the van plus the owner’s cat’s name. Every seat is a unique, covered by coffee aroma and a lot of cute miniature toys and dolls. The coffee and cakes are pretty tasty and served with a friendly smile. This unique theme cafe is worth visiting!
